I don't have any such driver/module when I compiled the kernel.

Then you should probably set it in the config.

CONFIG_RT2800PCI
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT33XX
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT35XX
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT53XX
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT3290

Don't know exactly which one it is that you have in the Pro, but it doesn't hurt to set all of them.

I'm going to try that right now, anything I would set for the LED?

I enabled them as following and got no new modules compiled.

CONFIG_RT2800PCI=y
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT33XX=y
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT35XX=y
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT53XX=y
CONFIG_RT2800PCI_RT3290=y

EDIT: I found them using make menuconfig and they seemed to have compiled, I'll do testing now to see if I can get wifi working.

Nope not working, I can modprobe them all and no new interface appears.

Edit: I even tried to have it compiled as part of the kernel instead as a module but still nothing.

I got everything working on mine, including wifi and the LEDs. The modules that moonman suggested do the job. However, the wifi driver still has the same problem as in 2.6, that dhcp works but static doesn't.

@Geoff what did you do exactly? did you compile as a module or as part of the kernel? I can't get anything working.

The 3.12 kernel with the config that I used is now installable via pacman -S linux-oxnas. Once you boot up, its config is accessible as /proc/config.gz. There's still a bit of work to be done on u-boot, but it sounds like you have that working already.

However, it does require a uboot update.
