Boot problems [Solved]

Postby loop » Fri Apr 04, 2014 1:40 pm

I upgraded my Pi a couple of days ago and since then I've had all sorts of problems getting it to boot.

Relevant messages from journalctl -b
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
Jan 01 10:00:06 pi systemd[1]: dbus.socket lacks Listen setting. Refusing.

I think there is a problem with dbus, but can't see how to fix it.

Any thoughts?

Hi, this fixes the bug temporarily

# cat /etc/modprobe.d/iqaudio.conf
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'blacklist snd_soc_pcm512x')

The file name is irrelevant.

What pi model? I haven't encountered this on my B 512 running -latest.

I do get these errors, but they are harmless:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[ 18.272532] pcm512x 1-004c: Failed to reset device: -5
[ 18.279586] pcm512x: probe of 1-004c failed with error -5
')

Something different is wrong in OP

Hello.
They are harmless, but they break down a quiet boot :lol:

i noticed this pcm512x-error just recently as well...
blacklisting "solves" the error... but it does not really feel like a solution.. ?

There are 2 immediate solutions to this: blacklist or disable the driver and recompile. Third longterm solution is to file a bug report: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues?state=open
