dockstar losing connection to network.

Postby farsheedj » Fri Jun 13, 2014 2:17 pm

I recently upgraded it to latest Linux 3.14.6-1-ARCH on armv5tel. .It boots fine and I installed my usual package i,e transmission, minidlna, samba ,lighthttp and download daemon. They all work ok. I have it installed on USB stick have another USB drive mounted for dlna and downloads. The only issue is that the dockstar loses connection to router after a day or so without any reason. I have to power off and reboot it to get the connection.I I did not have this issue with the older archlinux install. I am not sure if the whole system actually crashes or there is some issue with my network/dhcp setting . I thought it was an issue with drive mount/unmounts or there is some active download or disk writing activity on the other drive. I also have a swap partition active on primary booting USB.I have now setup static IP address in router for dockstar. The LED light on dockstar remains solid green.Any ideas how to troubleshoot this problem. .I was trying to find system logs to see what exactly fail but cannot come up with any explanation.
Any help will be appreciatied.

Looks like I have a similar problem. After updating a few days ago, my device is no longer connected to the router. Is there a chance to find the cause and somehow restore the device?

Hi, similar for goflex home. I noticed this happens when I reset the router (and dhcp server as well - runs on the router).

Currently even NAS restart wont help, it wont even write to logs.
