HI there, I had a GoFlex Home Network 2TB unit. The unit was dropped on the floor and then had numerous bad sectors ( including numerous in the partition area ).
I purchased a new 3TB HDD, cracked the GoFlex Home Network case unit, put in the new HDD.
Then I guesses that it needed a specific partitioning scheme to be recognized by the stock / factory GoFlex stock software.
So Far I'm not sure I'm doing the right fdisk / parted commands so that:
#1, the disk appears fully ( the whole 3TB )
#2, the disk is recognized and usable by the GoFlex Home Network software.
Right now, I get error message from the Web UI that I cannot format the disk ( I believe it has to do with lack of memory, from the SSH I cannot usually format the disk NTFS unless I use another drive plugged in the USB port as swap partition/memory )
Anyhow, I'm not sure what partition scheme it is expecting. Old fashion MBR or GPT etc.
I've seen numerous threads and posts on putting back the stock firmware but none on hot to setup the so it works with the stock firmware. Anyone could describe what needs to be done?
TY
