Raspberry Pi 2

Talk about the project itself, the community, where we are and what we need. Great place to introduce yourself and make friends as well.

Raspberry Pi 2

I nominate myself for asking the most obvious question today:

Is there going to be native Raspberry Pi 2 support, and if so, when roughly?

Cheers,

You've nominated yourself to be the 60th person to ask that

The answer is: Developers don't have hardware, and can't test/certify it in any way.

Someone care to assist in that fact?

Would a donation help or do you have problems with availability?

Okay. I have ordered one as well with the intention of running archlinux on it. Let's hope the ArchArm developers get one soon too!

I might have found a local store that has a horribly limited number.

Well, at least one Arch Linux ARM developer must have one, because there is now an officially supported tarball!

There also is now an official Raspberry Pi 2 subforum in armv7. Maybe the Pi 2 threads around other subforums could get moved there, to discourage posting more in wrong subforums about it?

Installation instructions:

armv7 > broadcom (raspberry pi 2) subforum here:
