Hi,
Until now I have been using ArchLinuxARM-armv7-latest.tar.gz to get ArchLinux running on my Raspberry Pi. When I saw that ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz was available, I switched over to that. All was going well with ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz until I hooked up Microsoft USB keyboard which had been happily working with ArchLinuxARM-armv7-latest.tar.gz .
However, when using ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz the kernel crashes as soon as a keystroke is performed. Having looked up the error elsewhere on the Internet the lack of power seems to be the common theme. However, this doesn't make sense to me as ArchLinuxARM-armv7-latest.tar.gz works fine with the keyboard and the keyboard also happily works with my Raspberry Pi (model B).
There does appear to be a slight difference in the kernels though:
ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2: 3.18.5-3
ArchLinuxARM-armv7: 3.18.5-v7+
Could this have anything to do with it?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers,
Neil.
