[SOLVED] CEC?

Postby derkens » Mon Feb 09, 2015 7:46 pm

First, thank you guys for supporting the pi2 so fast.
I've installed arch on my rbp2, installed kodi.
sadly cec is not working.

When I boot the Pi it turns on the tv tand to the right channel.
It is being identified by my tv as "raspberry".
but when i start kodi nothing happens regarding cec. I can manage everything with Yatse.
When I navigate to settings - system - input, periphirals is greyed out.

some small tests i've done:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ cec-client
No device type given. Using 'recording device'
CEC Parser created - libCEC version 2.2.0
no serial port given. trying autodetect: FAILED
')
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s
state 0x12001a [HDMI CEA (16) RGB lim 16:9], 1920x1080 @ 60.00Hz, progressive
')
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -n
device_name=SAM-SAMSUNG')
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ /opt/vc/bin/tvservice -M
Starting to monitor for HDMI events
- pushing buttons on the remote which work on my pi B+
nothing happens...')
I'm using the same cable from my old pi B+
any ideas?

Exactly same problem here with pi2 and Alarm- cec remote not working.
Cec was working with same cable and same TV with raspberry pi B before, and tested now with openElec and pi2, also OK.
So, no hardware problems.
Also, it is able to wake up tv on pi2 startup.

This morning I did a full update and there was a kodi-rbp update together with a new libcec-rbp.
Update failed with some file exists in filesystem so I did first
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '# pacman -Rdd libcec') to remove it.
then a $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '# pacman -Syu')
and the update finished succesfully.

The problem is solved, cec working perfectly again, thanks for the quick fix :D
