Hello everyone:

Trying to install the U.are.U SDK (version 2) in a raspberry pi 2 with arch linux. When I run the install command a got the following error:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
Cannot build kernel object because the kernel-devel package for kernel version
3.18.13-2-ARCH is not installed.

In order to use fingerprint reader you need to install kernel-devel package
and run /opt/DigitalPersona/UareUSDK/redist/usbdpfp start
')

¿How can i install kernel-devel? I've been googling for a while whith no luck.
Thanks in advenced ...

Probably because it is assuming you are on Ubuntu. <3 Vendor Code

IDK what part of that package it is checking for, nor what it actually contains.

WarheadsSE:

Thank you for your fast response. It makes sense what you say (the SDK must be installed on a development environment not in the target device [raspberry pi 2, in this case]). I thought I could install SDK on the target in order to avoid cross-compiling. So, I have to make the cross-compiling anyway.

Thanks again,
