openssh updated to 7.0 can no longer ssh as root

goflexhome, has been running alarm for about 4 months, regular pacman -Syu

last night openssh updated to 7.0, today I can no longer ssh as root, how can I get back in?

can I not add a second user via netconsole or rescue mode?

You can edit /etc/sshd_config to allow root login again. Or arch-chroot into your hdd installation from rescue system and add a new user
