MongoDB Package broken

Postby Evils » Fri Jan 13, 2017 9:14 pm

The mongodb 3.2.10-2 armv7h package seems to be broken for two reasons:

1.) The package points statically to boost-libs 1.62, while the current package is 1.63. So shared libraries aren't found.
2.) Even with the correct boost-libs version, the server doesn't start and simply crashes with status=100/n/a

In addition to that, the package is out of date for over a month now.

I tried rebuilding the package with the PKGBUILD I found on the github repo, unfortunately that didn't work either.

Can we fix this?

Same problem here.
I had to downgrade boost-libs for mongodb to work.

It's boost-libs what you need to downgrade.
I can send you the package.

I forgot one tip. I needed to change the storage engine for mongodb in unifi controller itself. Follow this thread (last post):

I'm not using mongo for Unifi (anymore).

Downgrading boost-libs had no effect for me, mongo simply shut down right after starting after the downgrade.

Hi,
Having the same problem, so I downgraded libboost to 1.62.0

I then get a error when starting mongo...
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'mongo: error while loading shared libraries: libicudata.so.57: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory')

libicudata.so.57 is part of icu, I learn't the hard way that if you downgrade icu it breaks pacman.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '(warning: downgrading package icu (58.2-1 => 57.1-1))')

Incidentally mongo working fine with libicudata and icu downgraded but I had to restore icu to 5.8, can't have broken pacman!.

Has anyone reported this to the package maintainer? if not what is the best way to do this?
I can't seem to find who is the maintainer.

Regards

Well, mongodb for armv7 or any 32bit arm based OS was removed...
Not sure if that's better as it breaks lots of other packages, but not my decision neither could I find any comment on that ...
