Can not run MariaDB

Postby GigiRoger » Tue Aug 22, 2017 8:47 am

Hello Guys,

I'm trying to install wordpress on RPi 3 b+.
My next step is make mariaDB running and here I have a problem. Installation is fine without any problems but when I trying to run DB server I get this:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
sudo systemctl start mariadb.service

Job for mariadb.service failed because a fatal signal was delivered causing the control process to dump core.
See "systemctl status mariadb.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
')

and here is output from journal:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '

AFAIK, on some Debian variant, it's "systemctl start mysql" instead of "systemctl start mysqld". So try it.

I have been installing Mariadb on 5-6 different platforms. All using one of the two command lines above to start.
