lastest update toxic to odroid-c2

Postby risto3 » Fri May 18, 2018 8:59 am

Just updated and lost X on my odroid-c2

seems the error boils down to :
Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/mali_drv.so: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/mali_drv.so: undefined symbol: exaDriverAlloc
Failed to load module "mali"

There seems to need a quick fix to things, please!

You may want to try the fbturbo-driver. The packages should be these ones [C2 page]:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'o')droid-c2-libgl-fb
xf86-video-fbturbo-odroid-c2-git

remotely this is more or less what I tried, though I implied these packages by
what Kodi wanted... seems to load without error though I won't be able to
verify the GUI before tuesday when I'm in physically in front of the machine.
until then, cheers

I have fbturbo installed and updated, lxdm won't start anymore. fbturbo seems broken too.

Hate to make another "me too" post but I was losing my mind last night until I saw this thread...

FYI not just you guys. Same issue on my ancient Armv7h Samsung Chromebook currently rolled back to previous versions of xorg-server, xorg-server-common and xf86-video-fbturbo-git.

Things seem to be working okay for me now with the drivers that kodi-c2 pulled in.
I don't see fbturbo, though, just odroid-c2-libgl-fb

I'll wait a bit to mark with WORKAROUND until others confirm it works for them as well.

My C2 is newly purchased just this week so between the lack of hardware cursor (fixed now thanks to you guys!) and the inability to use any display manager, I was beginning to fear hardware defects.

Will try downgrading xorg and see what I can come up with.

Look this Arch bug report: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/54845#comment159572
Possible we have to remove ",-z,now" from LDFLAGS for x-org!?
If so, it is not a big thing.

Would be great if a dev could chime in here
