You may want to to ask on odroid forums. They may be able to backport this to 3.16. I don't know how difficult of feasible it will be, but I know they've done the same thing in the past to support newer versions of systemd.

Thank you for suggestion. On Odroid forum they've recommended to switch off meson timer.
/boot/boot.ini ->
...
setenv mesontimer "0"
...
reboot
all works now :)

P.S. It will cause video performance degradation, however for me it doesn't matter - I'm running a headless server.
