Pacman error : partition /boot too full

Postby lenikaku » Fri Sep 11, 2020 6:47 pm

Hello,

I recently went through an error while trying to update my Raspberry PI 3B+. You can see the error on the screenshot I took.
Basically, I can't do the update because the boot partition is too full.
The boot partition is "├─mmcblk0p1 179:1 0 100M 0 part /boot".

I didn't find much answer on the internet so I'm asking for help on the forum. I don't know what to do, I don't know if I have to do a factory reset or if I can delete useless files.

Thank you.

You can remove the initramfs-linux-fallback image to free up space - but it will come back
You will probably need to increase boot partition size. The new recommended size is 200MB. You can use GParted on any Linux computer to resize it.
