Pi 3B+ and 4 stuck at rainbow screen after update

Postby ungeskriptet » Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:19 pm

I reinstalled Arch Linux ARM after I run "yay" ("pacman -Syu") and it got stuck on the rainbow screen. After the reinstall I noticed a SystemD service say "A start job is running for /dev/mmcblk0" and hung there until 1:30 minutes passed and failed. I wondered for a while until I noticed that somehow "/dev/mmcblk0" is now suddenly "/dev/mmcblk1". I edited the "/etc/fstab" file so I could boot and have "/boot" mounted. After I run "pacman -Syu" again the Pi 4 got stuck at the rainbow screen again (I assume there's something wrong with an update [Linux kernel?] or something). I also tried installing Arch Linux ARM on different SD Cards and even tried booting on my Pi 3B+ (I somehow didn't have the mmcblk1 instead of mmcblk0 problem), but it still got stuck on the rainbow screen after an update.
