just a feedback that all is looking fine

kernel 5.10 rc6-2, kodi 19a - using it as daily driver

to libcec ( that not related as you said ) - BT keyboard is a workaround to control kodi

thanks a lot

Thanks for the feedback. I have it running on a RPi4 as well and everything works with the exception of CEC, bit again, I believe that might be an upstream bug.

That's correct. Maxime Ripard send a patch series to implement CEC support for BCM2711:
https://marc.info/?l=linux-arm-kernel&m=160760814429988

But i don't expect this would be applied before Linux 5.11.

If accepted, those patches would obviate the need for the pulse-eight drivers?

From my understanding the patch provides the same CEC function as the BCM283x/VC4 (Pi 3 B) currently have. The CEC support must be enabled explicite in Kconfig (CONFIG_DRM_VC4_HDMI_CEC). But i don't have any insight on the pulse-eight drivers.
