POGO-B04 bricked

Postby bl4ze » Fri May 27, 2011 4:21 pm

Hi everyone :)

Today I received my pink Pogoplug and naive as I was I tried installing the v2 version (forced the uBoot installation, doh!). After things had gone awry I opened the case up and it appeared to be newer revision with the OXNAS board. The PCB has a "Pogo pro r2 E1 12EB" sticker on it.

So, I guess /dev/mtd0 on the device is corrupt now. Is there any way of salvaging the device?

I don't have a serial cable (yet). Does anybody on the forum makes these? For a fee, ofcourse :)

Hey there,
This is exactly the same what happened to me. I tried to establish a serial connection but I had no luck anymore. Because of the broken UBoot no serial data is sent or recieved. As far as I found out, the last chance to repair UBoot is using JTAG. In some other thread here someone posted, that the connectors labeled as HD5 on the board are the JTAG pins without pinheaders. With some testing I could identify the GND signals and the VCC signal but I have no idea how to test the other pins. The other problem is, that I don't have a JTAG interface yet.

Hope somebody else has an idea.

Thanks a lot,
Globemaster

Good to know that I should not try Arch Linux ARM with a POGO-B04.
