Now i'm totally confused after switching to Linux 5.18 arm64 defconfig with Raspberry Pi 3, there is not really a hanging.

Could you please provide the dmesg of your boot? Maybe there is something suspicious.

My problem was definitly the SD Card dying, since then I bought a new one and no problems so far.
