Pogo Pink - USB Power?

Postby technosf » Thu Jun 23, 2011 6:24 am

Hey,

I just got myself a tiny Adata 32G SATA/USB-SSD for my plug (flash just doesn't like to swap, don't you know), but the Pink's USB doesn't appear to have the oomph! to drive it.

Can any one confirm or deny my observation, and that said provide any interesting ideas WRT powered hubs... I was thinking maybe I can pull open the box and run some +5v wires of the board

If there's absolutely any way I could get sata..?

Cheers!

Which pink? (It matters a lot nowadays)

Also, how much power does the manufacturer say that it needs to draw, since the built-in USB ports will only provide 500mA...

Well, I'm happy to report the Pogo (v2) is powering the SSD - though the led on the disk isn't firing up, and I had to find the right device it was mapping to  .

Now on to partitioning the thang and running to speed tests.

Thanks!
