Are there repos with archived packages?

Postby onemoretry » Mon Jul 01, 2024 4:45 pm

Hi everyone,

after succesful installation (and up-to-date upgrade) Archlinux on RPi3B+ I bumped into libunwind package crash at Xorg start, like
alarmpi systemd-coredump[474]: Process 472 (Xorg) of user 1001 dumped core.
Stack trace of thread 472:
#0 0x00000000b6ca5210 n/a (libunwind.so.8 + 0x5210)
ELF object binary architecture: ARM

Then came across mentions of crashing new packages and rewarding back to old work versions (for example here https://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16823&p=72332&hilit=libunwind ).
It brings to looking up repositorires with previous versions of packages: Is there any alive working archive repo?

Russia or North Korea? Nope.

Is there any other repos, or maybe even better PKGBUILD sources (to be sure)?

Many packages are taken from Arch Linux upstream and compile without modification for ARM devices. See:make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, ' ', 'https://archlinux.org/packages/', '', ' class="postlink"')

All packages are signed making it impossible for modifications AFAIK.

@graysky

That is an unofficial resource. I suspect the person running it is usingmake_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, ' ', 'https://github.com/seblu/archivetools', '', ' class="postlink"') or something similar, to the logic would be daily snapshots of mirrors.
