Is installing a desktop environment on KDE possible?

I've successfully gotten arch linux running on my POGO-EO2. I've been trying to install a desktop environment (KDE) and use VNC to connect. I'm starting to wonder if it's even possible??? When I run X -configure, it only says "no devices to configure". I've installed the vesa and vmware drivers.
