This is *not* the method for the Pro/OXNAS family.

My Ford is not my Honda, don't treat it like it is.

There is an oxnas-revert.sh script that will revert the Pro to factory stock, including removing our kernel.

Does anybody has factory backup for Dockstar "/dev/mtdblock2" partition or root file system?

Looks like my Dockstar file system got corrupted and i can not boot into it. However if i connect my Debian installed USB, i am able to start it fine.

Thanks

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('cmadooly', '
')Edit the rcS file:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'vi /tmp/pogoroot/etc/init.d/rcS')

You should see a line at the bottom that says something like "uncomment the line below to enable the pogoplug service" And the line reads: $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '#/etc/init.d/hbmgr.sh start')

So just uncomment it (by deleting the # sign)

I'm in the same situation and tried to follow the instruction, but when trying to save the edit (uncomment), I'm told this;

"/tmp/pogoroot/etc/init.d/rcS" File is read only

and I cannot chmod this file; it says "Read-only file system".

I'm stuck. Help!

GREAT! That did it. Thanks for helping out a Linux beginner. I'm back to the factory SW.

An update to an old post just incase anyone else finds this helpful. In order for the mtdblock devices to be available under /dev you will likely need to load the mtdblock kernel module:

modprobe mtdblock

With out the mtdblock devices, you have nothing to mount to access the jffs2 filesystem on your nand partition(s)

Got my POGO-E02 restored to factory by following these steps:

1- unplug USB
2- let pogo boot
3- http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-re ... g-service/

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')f you’re original stock Pogoplug firmware installation is intact on mtd1 and mtd2, and the new uBoot has ability to revert to boot the stock firmware, here’s the way to re-enable and turn on the Pogoplug service in stock firmware.

Boot into the default original Pogoplug or DockStar and GoFlex Net environment.
SSH into the Pogoplug device at port 22 (you have to figure out its IP address on your own).
Once established connection, login as root. The default user name and password is as follow, but your device may have different password if changed.

user name: root
password (PogoPlug): ceadmin
password (DockStar): stxadmin
Run the following command to mount the filesystem with read-write access and change directory:

mount -o remount,rw /
cd /etc/init.d
Edit the rcS file with any text editor, such as vi.
Uncomment the following line (remove the # sign):

/etc/init.d/hbmgr.sh start
Save the file.
Reboot the device the reboot command.

Used this video for the "vi" command usage:

Just use nano if you don't know how to use vi. It is just as powerful for simple things but is easier to use.
