Dear,

I had created a (8G) SD card for booting the Arch on Pandaboard, see http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/pandaboard

but i just see the messaged from minicom,
Taxas Instruments X-Loader 1.41 (Oct 15 2010 - 20:28:09)

and then no any above, if i press the PWRON_RESET key, can light on the D2 led.
i don't know what wrong!!
Anyone can help me to boot the full system??

Inside the bootloader tarball is a script called mkcard.sh. Try using that to format the card. You might need to make some adjustments to use the full 8gb.

OK, changed it to 2GB SD.

1) from the run #./mkcard.sh /dev/mmcblk0

Re-reading the partition table ...

If you created or changed a DOS partition, /dev/foo7, say, then use dd(1)
to zero the first 512 bytes: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/foo7 bs=512 count=1
(See fdisk(8).)

i think it's OK!
2)extract ArchLinuxARM-omap-smp-latest.tar.gz to partition2.
3)copy MLO,boot.scr u-boot.bin, uImage to partition1.

it's OK!!when i copy the u-boot.bin & MLO from L24-9.PandaBoard_mininal-fs.tar.gz, it's work fine.
