DockStar Reinstall Questions

Hi, I have an old Arch ARM install on a couple of DockStars from back in the day when it was called <Plug<>Apps>.

I know there have been a lot of changes made since, which have had some fundamental impacts. I'd like to reinstall and start over from scratch to get everything in order without complications. But, of course, I'm not truly starting from scratch given that I have a version of UBoot already on them, etc. I tried searching the forum for info on how to do a reinstall but didn't find anything readily.

So I have a couple of questions:
A) Do I simply start over again beginning at step 3 of http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... e-dockstar to perform the reinstall?
B) Looking at http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... e-dockstar step 4, I note that ext3 is specified. However in step 7 and in the first bullet of the Install FAQ on that page, ext2 is used/stated and there's a warning about ext3 boot instability. Is step 4 to be taken literally as given or should it be ext2?

Is there anything else I need to be careful about or do to achieve this reinstallation?

I would start from installing the new U-Boot, that way you will be able to run latest kernels (linux-kirkwood package).

ext3 seems to work fine, the only thing they forgot in the installation guide is to change usb_rootfstype to ext3 in the u-boot environment.
