How do I determine my Pogo model?

Postby orion224 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 4:07 am

I have a pink 'classic' pogo, but wanted to verify the version I am using so I can follow the instructions at http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... 2-pinkgray.

I see no indicators anywhere on the device itself, or on the my.pogoplug.com website what version of hardware the device is running. On the bottom, the only relevant thing I see is "Model: Pogoplug".

I first wondered if I did not have an EO2 device because during the installation process (from link above) I get an error:

"Unknown uBoot detected on mtd0:"

After running ./install_uboot_mtd0.sh.

Thanks,
Matt

The "Classic" versions are v3, you should be following those instructions. The install_uboot_mtd0 script just saved you from a brick.

Simple proof way, run this command from ssh:
cat /proc/cpuinfo

If it says kirkwood, it's a "Pinky". If it says oxnas, well, it's an oxnas.

@kmihelich Glad it saved me! I have a 2nd pogo, which was in fact an E02 and that one is up and running without issue

@WarheadsSE I ran that (after successful install on my E02) and don't see a reference to either of those names:
