process to kill on seagate goflex home

i got 2tb seagate goflex home, trying to install archlinux using instruction on this page http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/seagate-goflex-home but when it comes to part where i have to killall, non of those 9 process are recognized, so i ran killall -l to see what is running and it's completely different, the name of them are [ hup int quit ill trap abrt iot bus fpe kill usr1 segv usr2 pipe alrm term stkflt chld cont stop tstp ttin ttou urg xcpu xfsz vtalrm prof winch io pwr sys unused ] and im not sure which onces to kill, can anyone point me in right direction or better tutorial to get me going in right direction?

The ones that need to be killed are listed in the guide and they are not on your list, so they aren't running. Go to the next step.

turns out after i typed the first command to ssh into it, it printed out line that said connection "closed" which i didn't see and performed everything after that and it formated my ubuntu partition, good thing it was on virtual machine, anyway how can i get passed connection "closed" by goflex home part?
