PogoPlug wont connect after poweroff

Postby tttmack » Fri May 17, 2013 9:03 pm

I wanted to move the usb flash drive that had Arch Linux installed on it to one of the back ports on my PogoPlug v2 so I used the poweroff command to shut the PogoPlug down and then I moved the usb drive to a different port and pulled out the power cord and put it back in. After waiting a few minutes, I tried to ssh in, but could not connect, I tried moving the usb flash drive back to the same port but got the same problem.

I have a static IP set for it in my router so I know the ip address is still the same.

Anyone know how I can get this back online? It's kind of confusing when there is no power button on the device.

i am now able to get it to allow ssh by disconnecting all usb devices and replugging the power cord, but I still can't get access to the Arch Linux install on the usb key. I tried plugging it in and doing reboot and then I could no longer ssh in again.

do I have to re-mount the usb drive with Arch Linux on it for it to work? If so, how do I do that correctly?

I am having the same issues...I made the (boot)thumb drive and tested...works...I added SAMBA Server and configured the system to persistent see the usb external (1t)hdd and then looked at with the browser and system explorer(yep from windows) and it works...I rebooted to verify/test for power outage...and now neither with our without external hdd or (Linux boot)thumb drive will the system boot...it will on the other hand boot with nothing plugged into it...any help would be great!

Setup netconsole or serial to see why it isn't booting. We need more information before suggesting anything.

I re-setup everything on a new flash drive and now have pretty much the same issue; the pogo plug will boot up into Arch Linux.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
Pogoplug:~$ uname -a
Linux Pogoplug 2.6.22.18 #81 Tue Oct 19 16:05:00 PDT 2010 armv5tejl unknown
')

Is there a how to install and use netconsole guide anywhere? I tried the code from here: http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3355 in the netconsole section but don't know what to do afterwards.

Look here: http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... s-ui-tabs3

Boot from a linux live cd, and run the linux commands in terminal. Every NC commands needs a separate terminal windows.
