Followed original manual, but E02 won't boot with archlinux

Postby fox1986 » Fri Jul 19, 2013 5:51 pm

Hi. I bought a Pogoplug v2 E02 and followed the manual at http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... s-ui-tabs2 to install archlinux on my Pogoplug. I have a USB 4GB Flash Stick attached to the front usb of the pogoplug and followed all the steps accurately. There were no error during installation.

However when i reebot, the connection is closed. If I try to connect as root with SSH, it says that password "root" is wrong. It only works with the default Pogoplug passwort "ceadmin". Once I am connected via SSH. I have a shell saying "Pogoplug>" but no archlinux has booted up. What do I wrong? I already tried that "start-stop-start" Trick and PRE_UP='sleep 15' but still no succes.

Get netconsole working, per the advanced tab of the instructions. The output of that will help us debug.

I got everything to work, even Samba. But then I was stupid enough to follow the static-ip guide. It worked fine till I pulled the power plug and reboot the Pogoplug again. For some reason it doesnt use the static-ip adress anymore who worked fine before reboot and i cant acces via the new ip.

Is my pogoplug bricked now?

Then try again using netctl https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Netctl
Copy example and modify.
Don't forget to remove netcfg service
