May have bricked my Seagate Goflex home HELP!

hey, Please help me as quickly as you can!
i tried to do the linux hack using ssh that the instructions are on this website for. Before i begun i removed the HDD with my data on because i didnt want to loose it. I went on to follow all the instructions that the guide provided missing out the ones that required me to do something with the HDD as i wanted it to be installed on the inbuilt memory that the existing seagate software is ran on. everything went well and installed correctly ( well i think it did) as i got too the last instruction which instructed me to reboot the device, after i did that nothing has been happening with the device apart from a rapidly flashing green light on the front and one red ethernet light steady on the back.

I'm pretty stuck right now as i don't know what to do and i really need to access the data on my drive! I've tried restoring the seagate firmware that was downloaded from there website that can reflash the device, that didnt work. Ive downloaded various things to try and get it to restore or boot properly and i really don't know what to do anymore. Im using a mac if that helps.

SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!

What hack are you talking about? The only thing I understood from your description is that your device does not boot anymore. Have you tried netconsole?

Netconsole? nope if your gonna give me instructions for that then please make them understandable to the average user

i just get the constant flashing of the green front light and the ethernet lights no other white front light. Ive tried to reflash using the seagate download and using the reset button but that doesnt seem to do a thing

really need to get this up and running as soon as i can, Please help

Oh and when running a ip scan it gives me results of: 239.255.255.250 for ip address and: 01:00:5E:7F:FF:FA for MAC address if that helps
