[SOLVED]ArchLinuxARM-rpi-latest.tar.gz not working for Pi3

The latest 20160802 ArchLinuxARM-rpi-latest.tar.gz (http://os.archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinux ... est.tar.gz) is definitely not working for Raspberry Pi 3. Tried installing by following the steps outlined here https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/raspberry-pi and even went out to buy a 2nd new card but both just won't boot. But when I tried installing Raspbian on the same SD card, the Pi 3 boots up right away. What's going on?

We do not include the ARMv8 kernel in the armv6h userland.
