i2s on RPi3 aarch64

Postby emilot » Thu Mar 26, 2020 4:40 pm

Hello,

I follow the official guide for archlinuxarm installation:

https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... berry-pi-3

and choose the aarch64 installation (at the bottom of the page).

I have a fully working RPi3 with aarch64 kernel.

After installation there is no overlays folder, only a dtbs with the corresponding files for broadcom, etc..
My question is:

What i must provide to config.txt to enable an overlay for my dac-hat soundcard?

PS. I tried to place an overlays folder and add dtoverlay to config.txt with no success and also load the rpi3 plus dtbs file

Thank you.

AFAIK the aarch64 port is using the mainline kernel. The problem is that most of the HAT vendor never upstreamed their driver into the official repo.

Please contact your HAT vendor about this.
