You mean this? https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... berry-pi-3

Please _try_ to pay attention.

Got mine yesterday. The image works fine except for Wifi as mentioned in another thread, although I haven't really given a serious try.

Does anyone know if there are any successful attempts at a ARMv8 kernel? I also couldn't find any other distros yet.

Their sources quite literally fail because the code has not been put in place for it to be handled as an ARMv8 processor. End of line.

I can't seem to find any info on this: does the bootloader at least allow loading an ARMv8 kernel/bare-metal application?

Edit: Some info, but not entirely clear https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/550

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'T')heir kernel sources quite literally fail because the code has not been put in place for it to be handled as an ARMv8 processor. End of line.

There is a config.txt entry to make the ARM start in 64-mode.

arm_control=0x200

Do I have to quote myself again? Their kernel (at least on gitbug, and public) does not yet even compile for ARMv8!
