Wireless packet injection

I downloaded, patched and installed compat-wireless as per aircrack-ng instructions but packet inject tests fail. Has anyone had any success with this?

I am using a POGO-E02 which has a Marvell Kirkwood 1.2GHz so I grabbed the kernel from git and after a bunch of messing around I got it to compile but can't find patches for 3.1.10 to get injection working on zd1211rw. The kernel is just old enough that injection does not work stock and too new for any of the patches I can find lol

I tried to --dry-run the patches on http://aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=zd1211rw and they errored so those are no good. Ideas anyone?!
