Installing gallery3

Postby Raymondday » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:10 pm

Can this be done on this?

Gallery3 can be downloaded here.

It downloaded in a zip file and unzips in a gallery3 folder with a index.php in it. So you go to it's web page to set it up or install it. But I don't think it's made for ARM CPU.

It does say on there web page they have it working with Android and I guess that has a ARM cpu.

1) We are not Gallery3 developers
2) if it is pure PHP, it doesn't care if it is running on a 4040

It works.

I just put the gallery3 folder in /srv/http/gallery3

Then I had to edit /srv/http/gallery3/php.ini file.

Changed 2 things in it.

;extension=iconv.so

Removed the ; in front of that.

Then short_open_tag = Off change that Off to On

Then /etc/rc.d/httpd restart and go to http://ip/galler3 to set the rest up.

It's looking good to have things running on this.

One thing I don't get. It wants me to pick a graphics program and I did this:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@alarm ~]# pacman -S imagemagick
warning: imagemagick-6.7.3.4-1 is up to date -- reinstalling
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...

Targets (1): imagemagick-6.7.3.4-1

Total Download Size: 0.00 MB
Total Installed Size: 9.20 MB

Proceed with installation? [Y/n]
(1/1) checking package integrity [######################] 100%
(1/1) checking for file conflicts [######################] 100%
(1/1) upgrading imagemagick [######################] 100%
[root@alarm ~]# /etc/rc.d/imagemagick start
-bash: /etc/rc.d/imagemagick: No such file or directory
[root@alarm ~]#')

I all ready did that before but Gallery don't see it so I did it again. But not sure why it's not seeing it. I guess I have to start it up some how?

Imagemagick is not a daemon!

It says in gallery "We could not locate ImageMagick on your system."

I guess some were I have to tell it were it is. I don't even know.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'I')magemagick is not a daemon!

I know I found that out when I did the:

/etc/rc.d/imagemagick start

LOL on that one. I am sure they are way to busy. I can look on Google. But this Linux PogoPlug Pro and gallery hardly no one has together.

I don't sit at home on my ***** all day. I've got a day job that takes a considerable amount of my energy, and I attempt to monitor these forums when I can. Today just happens to be slower than normal.
