Truthfully,

I am really the only one I know that can make it for you, and I don't have it ready at the moment. I will have to make it for you.

Thank you and I appreciate it. If it helps, I have a 4GB USB drive. Or, I can get one usb closure for a real USB harddrive.

You have to have sata.

What I mean is, that you will absolutely have to crack the case, and attach to the onboard sata port.

Oooh, me too! I have a black Pogoplug Pro that, after following the ArchLinux directions, just sits with a blinking green light and never comes up on the network. DHCP server has a reserved address for it and shows it as inactive, and I cannot ping or ssh into it now. I was planning on cracking the case to use the SATA port anyway, so can you put a DD image somewhere publicly accessible? Unless it's unreasonably huge, Dropbox would probably work well...

I had the same problem, fixed it by plugging the flash drive into an linux box, and editing (as root) /etc/rc.conf to use a *static* ip address. After that I was able to SSH back into the pogo pro and proceed from there.

Why not try putting the boot drive in another system, mount it and check your /var/log error messaegs to see what is happening? So far I've been lucky to find that I have been able to edit config files to get the network up.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'W')hat I mean is, that you will absolutely have to crack the case, and attach to the onboard sata port.

I have opened the case and saw the sata port. All I need is the dd image. I will use a power adapter to supply the power to the sata drive.

Thanks!
