for any other beginners who might be having trouble ssh-ing back into their pogoplugs after they install archlinuxarm, make sure you refresh/update your dchp client list (if you have an airport, it's in "airport utilities", advanced, DHCP Clients). connect to the ip address that says "alarm" username and password "root"
