Hi all... I just purchased a pink Pogo Plug, v3, for $20 from J&R to see if it could replace my Fedora 16 box for serving files (via smb) to my AppleTV's.
I hacked it per this instructions found here: http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6 ... provideov3
and added smb via these instructions: http://archlinuxarm.org/support/guides/ ... ions/samba
Everything went smooth. Thanks to all involved in the hacks and the documentation. BUT... (you knew this was coming) If I try to play M4V movies from the Pogo, they fail. For reference, I'm connecting my AppleTV 2, hacked with FireCore, to the Pogo via SMB (guest user). For fun, I have 2 mounts, one for the Pogo, and one for the legacy Fedora system. If I try to play any .m4v file (via FireCore's Media extension), I get "Playback Error, an error occurred loading this content", yet, if I copy this same file down to my legacy Fedora system, it plays just fine. I just tried the same thing using xbmc on the AppleTV, with the same results. m4v's fail, and anything else (.mkv, .avi, and .mp4) all work fine.
So, at this point it feels like a problem with the Pogo service up m4v's on smb, but that sure sounds strange, it's just a file, and shouldn't see it any different than the avi or mp4.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what may be going on, or how to fix?
Thanks!
