Hi this does not tell anything about why the problem is occurring, nor does it provide any cosmic understanding. However, it worked for me. Your mileage may vary. Close cover before striking. It would be a good thing to follow these suggestions in the order they are provided. DO NOT REBOOT UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO. That would scare off the Mojo
1. Follow instructions to put new rootfs on a new ext3 partition. For the V3 I followed the instructions at the end of the install info.
http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/pogoplug-provideov32.
IMPORTANT: Install Webmin before you update. Don't install anything else or reboot yet.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Webmin3. Use pacman to update.
pacman -Syu
DO NOT REBOOT YET!4. Be sure to reinstall udev-oxnas
pacman -S udev-oxnas
DO NOT REBOOT YET!5. Start up Webmin, if you followed the Webmin install instructions, you should have some contact with your pogo. If so, on the Webmin main menu, select SYSTEM, then PACMAN, then click on the
RUN SYSTEM UPGRADE button.
This is the most important step. If you skip this, you will fix NOTHING.
6. NOW REBOOT. If the gods of pogo are smiling, ssh will work, you can update and install with impunity, the openssl problem will be gone, birds will sing and little flowers will dance around your feet. Worked for me... I will let someone who knows explain why.
