bricked my TP2...how to reset u-boot?

Postby postman » Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:22 pm

I went through the instructions to set up arch on my tonidoplug2 on the internal data drive. I subsequently bricked the plug, and pulled the drive and re-formatted to start fresh.

Now nothing boots, including the internal hand and usb sticks with the factory tonido images on them, i suspect because I changed the u-boot variables per the posted instruction set.

How can I recover this? If I could get to the point where I could ssh in, I believe I could get home from there...

thanks in advance,

j

Essentially, Since uboot is stored in NAND, environment is intact, then it should be as simple as placing a fresh copy of the ALARM armv5te rootfs on a drive, and plugging it in.

Okay...I can now boot into the usb stick into Arch.

How do I set the hand parameters back to something that will boot the tonido internal flash?
