Parted doesn't support resize?

I'm trying to resize a partition in ALARM, and I installed parted, which should have support for resizing ext2/3 partitions. However, when I run parted, I see no option to resize. Does the version of parted for ARM not support resize? Also, if this is the case, are there other command-line tools for ALARM that can resize partitions? Thanks.
