I just downloaded the archlinux-hf-2012-09-18.img and the sum that I get after running the following command (sha1sum /mypath/archlinux-hf-2012-09-18.img/archlinux-hf-2012-09-18.img) is way different then the listed sha1sum of(56e043f3c629f6c408759bcc157d2d635ce0b6af).
The returned sha1sum is (fef56565e1098fb91ef93e0c31111119d7cea021) while the one listed on the download site is 56e043f3c629f6c408759bcc157d2d635ce0b6af
So what's going on here?
Is this a valid image file or not!
Is this downloaded image even worth trying since the sha1sum fails the test to match the listed sha1sum listed! As you can see the sha1sums are very different and does bring to light a concern that the .img file is NOT a trusted file by the check sums not matching!
Some one HELP!
Pepedog is this the true file that you were talking about? Why doesn't the sha1sum match?
I ask because I do have some important servers running on my network that I do NOT wish to expose to a system that may not be a valid img file from the ALARM site!
