GoFlex net wont boot once smba is installed

When I follow all steps to install samba and add it to the daemons list, upon reboot I cannot connect to it. Pogoplug shows as offline, and it wont allow me to ssh into it even though the green light is on solid. I had to reinstall archlinux to my usb drive again.

Please help.

Reboot...did you just unplug the power cable?

No I reboot using the reboot command, then after that I have to remove the cable otherwise if I just use the reboot command I cant connect to it again

It just takes a long time for it reboot. Wait 10 min. Or shut it off instead with "shutdown -h now" and then pull the cable when front led goes off. You probably pulled cable while it was still shutting down and it corrupted the file system.
