(Automated) Remote Access?

Hello,

I'm setting up a PogoPlug for my brother for xmas. He's in the east coast and I'm in the west coast and he's not technical at all.

Is there some sort of remote administration client I can install on the pogoplug that will allow me to remotely access it via SSH or the Web without him having to do any port forwarding/router config?

Something like (but better) DDNS and uPNP (not sure his router supports it and/or if its even enabled).

1) UPnP, nah, don't trust it.
2) DDns on your side, and an automated ssh back to your house/server/wherever that is a port-proxy only.

So have the pogoplug call back home via SSH? I already have SSH and DDNS/StaticIP so that's should be easy.

create a tunnel that connects ~ local 127.0.0.1:22022 to remote 127.0.0.1:22, instant ssh target from inside. Plus, you will know when it is not connected.

The technical term (or more common name) is "reverse ssh tunnel" and there's plenty of guides out there.
