Attempted to set up a new user name with my computer name in it as well to accommodate for what windows explorer was showing me, no dice.

The samba config file seems to be intact, other than the at the beginning of each line, which noob that I am, have not run into before. It seems to be running on the device just fine, haven't had time to mess with trying to install samba on windows to interact with it.

Well that seems wrong that it's got this at the beginning of eash line. I can't evern see what it is...
Windows doesn't need anything installed as samba (smb) protocol is native to windows and is included with it.

that should not be there that's why it isn't working. How did it get there... weird...
Let's do it this way then:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'systemctl stop smbd
cd /etc/samba
rm smb.conf
wget http://music4dance.mine.nu/Downloads/ArchLinuxArm/smb.tar.gz
tar xvzf smb.tar.gz
rm smb.tar.gz
systemctl start smbd
')

Copy line by line and not everything at once

Config file is now fixed. Shut down and rebooted the device. I am now able to access the drive. Success. Much thanks for getting this far. There is a single share inside of the location labeled Media. Which is 18.3GB in size. Is it possible the wrong partition is being set to share, or is there some other underlying issue?

media should contain anything that's plugged in into the pogoplug. If you plug in a flash drive it should show up inside media. The only thing you didn't do is edit /etc/fstab file in order to mount your larger partition on the hard drive.

and about 18 gb... the way linux organizes things in its filesystem is different from windows. It shows 18 GB because /media is actually on the partition which is 20GB, but you can "link" the other drive/partition to this folder.
