Chinese language support

Postby jerry0000 » Mon Dec 17, 2012 5:45 am

Hi,

I have samba share mounted, which has Chinese in file and folder names. How to enable Chinese support on the Pogoplug (via SSH)?

Thanks,
jerry

Right now, I see question marks for the Chinese characters. I tried to install CJK fonts, and tried a few. However none helped (after full system reboot).

Is there some config I need to edit? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I do not have the rc.conf file. I checked locale.conf, and LANG is already set to en_US.UTF-8.

I will try. However just like the OP in that thread, I am not a fan of setting the whole system to CN.

edit to add:
No, it did not work.

Ok, I'll build a kernel with CN support if you are ok with testing it...

What kernel are you using 3.1.x or 3.6.x ?
