When i copy movies from my htpc (Pentium G630T on asrockboard HM61 / Western Digital scorpio 5900rpm 2000gb)
to a usb 3.0 harddisk (IcyBox) on my Desktop PC (i7 on some Asus Board) i get 95 -105 Megabytes/s.
(messured with bwm-ng)

So why not ecxpect the half from such an "nas".

I mean, really. Whats an 3TB drive for when you lose all your lifetime by waiting for it to complete somthing?

But i dont want to be the bad Guy here...
Are there devices i am able to run arch they can reach ~50Megabytes?
ftpfs is easyly mountet..... isnt it?

And yes, MIPS & ARM aren't going to compare to an i7 with 2^? GB ram, and FSB's 4x as fast.

for sure they arent not that fast
But i wonder that they are only ~ 1/4 as fast

There are things you will need to sacrifice if you want fanless. One of those things, is the CPU/bus horsepower. Please note, there was RAID involved, which I am not using, and the stock firmware uses a proprietary optimized NTFS driver.

My htpc is also fanless with Streacom FC8B Case.
and whats that ntfs for i dont need this......
