Where are the package installation instructions?

This forum is for Marvell Kirkwood devices such as the GoFlex Home/Net, PogoPlug v1/v2, SheevaPlug, and ZyXEL devices.

I should also probably mention that my hardware clock is not responding:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@PPWEB ~]# hwclock
hwclock: Cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.
hwclock: Use the --debug option to see the details of our search for an access method.')
Not sure whether it's not there, has been removed by another program (I did install open-ntpd and removed it before installing ntp), or any other reason.

There's no hardware clock on E02. I've been using openntpd without any additional configuration.

I saw a notice on open-ntpd's wiki page that it's not maintained for Linux and to use ntp instead, so that's why I went that route. And it seems like ntp is weaved quite deeply (dependencies). Should I attempt to remove it and use open-ntpd, instead (seems risky)? But why isn't ntp working for me?

I don't know why it isn't working, but here's what WarheadsSE meant (from man ntpd)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')-g, --panicgate
Allow the first adjustment to be Big. This option may appear an
unlimited number of times.

Normally, ntpd exits with a message to the system log if the
offset exceeds the panic threshold, which is 1000 s by default.
This option allows the time to be set to any value without
restriction; however, this can happen only once. If the threshâ
old is exceeded after that, ntpd will exit with a message to the
system log. This option can be used with the -q and -x options.
See the tinker configuration file directive for other options.

However, checking /usr/lib/systemd/system/ntpd.service shows that ntpd starts with this option already
ExecStart=/usr/bin/ntpd -g -u ntp:ntp

Maybe it's the permissions issue? (runs as user ntp) ... I don't know for sure.

I think I figured the mystery - it seems to be my quick-trigger reflexes.:mrgreen: If I let it sit for a few minutes, the time is correct. I have been checking it immediately after reboot and it seems like it takes ntp some time to sync (even though timedatectl indicates the state as "synced".

Thanks again, guys!
