Thanks to catmaker I got a nice Valentines Day present.
I thought I would have to provide a different power supply, luckily I read it was possible to power via existing pi supply with no wiring.
Will make a package which does all config soon but at first I thought it wasn't working. Then I realised the hw clock wasn't set
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '# hwclock -r
hwclock: The Hardware Clock registers contain values that are either invalid (e.g. 50th day of month) or beyond the range we can handle (e.g. Year 2095).
[root@alarmpi ~]# hwclock -w
[root@alarmpi ~]# hwclock -r
Thu 14 Feb 2013 12:36:28 GMT -0.542312 seconds')
Unplugged network and all works well on poweroff and power up
Will have to get a different case, or use some duct tape
