Kernel issue on olinuxino on rebooting

Postby cnoviello » Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:27 pm

Hi,
I'm using latest ArchLinuxARM image for Olinuxino board with kernel 3.7.2. I'm experiencing this issue related with mmc card.
If I power up board, system boots correctly and MMC is mounted. But if i type a "reboot" command on terminal prompt, on the next reboot kernel fails to detect mmc0. The only way to restore normal behaviour is both power down or press reset button. This issue seems affect even 3.8 kernel.

Any hints?

Thanks,
Carmine

Carmine,

How are you able to change kernels and have u-boot launch your new kernel?

I too, am dealing with the olimex (maxi) with the arch 3.7.2-2 build.

Thanks

There's a "non-removable SD card" kernel patch which seems to solve this issue. It is included in this pull request.
