Following the install instructions, I got a "tar: inflate error 1" followed by "tar: short read" while inflating the latest installation files. It got to ./usr/share/perl5/core_perl/pod/perlfunc.pod before failing.
Does this indicate a problem with my flash drive? Should I start over or can this be fixed from this point in the installation?
Appreciate any help/guidance since I'm an Arch noob.

I'll download again, reformat and install from scratch... there are no checksums to verify the validity of the code, right?

I think there is an MD5 file of the same name in the same directory as the tar.
